Summer Intensive English Program

Our three and six-week sessions are designed for undergraduates, graduate students, exchange students, and working professionals seeking to improve their English skills and learn about North American culture. Our program has a history of success helping students develop the language skills, fluency, and confidence they need to communicate effectively in English.

SIEP

Program Structure

  • Classes are 4.5 - 5 hours a day, 5 days a week
  • Instruction includes intercultural competency, four language skills, presentation skills, and more
  • Evening activities including language games, chatting with local students, swimming in the lake, going to the farmers' market, karaoke, and more

Register & Pay

Step 1- Register and pay the $150.00 registration fee

This registration fee is not an additional cost (non-refundable after May 31st), it will be applied toward the total program cost.

Step 2 - Complete Forms

In order to confirm your registration, SUNY Oswego must receive the Release & Indemnification and the Insurance, Photo Release, Roommate Selection, and Dietary Restrictions forms as soon as possible.

These forms are available through your application on SLATE.

Step 3 - Set up your Laker ID

The SUNY Oswego Registrar's office will email you instructions for setting up a Laker ID. You will need this ID to upload your immunization records and complete your health history and meningitis fact sheet form.

Step 4 - Download and Complete the Immunization Form

You can download and complete our Immunization Form. Your nurse at school or doctor can fill it out. You can also use the standard immunization letter your school has. It has to be in English and it has to cover all shots required in our form. The Immunization Form is uploaded in Step 5.

Step 5 - Complete the Health History Form and Upload your Immunization Record

You will be redirected to Health Services at SUNY Oswego. You will need your Laker ID to login. Locate the upload tab to submit your immunization record. Locate the forms tab to complete the Health History form.

Step 6 - Pay the Balance of your Program Fee
Pay the remaining balance of your program cost. The program payment link will be emailed to you after you pay the application fee. You must pay off the final balance by one week before your program begins.
