Living at Oswego

Live among friends

Living on campus is about more than where you sleep. It’s where friendships begin, routines take shape and Oswego starts to feel like yours.

From the people down the hall to the communities and traditions you'll become part of, living at Oswego puts you at the center of campus life and gives you plenty of opportunities to connect, explore and grow.

Welcome home

Your residence hall becomes part of your everyday Oswego experience. Meet friends in the lounge, join a residential activity, grab dinner together or head across campus for an event. And with classes, dining, recreation and campus resources nearby, you're never far from where you need or want to be.

Some of the best moments are the simplest ones: catching a Lake Ontario sunset with friends, celebrating a big win or finding your favorite place to study.

Find your community So, what's it like to live here?

Every residence hall has its own character, but each gives you opportunities to meet people and become part of a community.

Choose from different living styles, locations and residential communities that can connect you with students who share your interests or experiences. Along the way, residential programs and activities give you even more ways to get involved, try something new and build relationships.

For many Lakers, the people they meet where they live become an important part of their Oswego story.

One experience that stands out from my time as a student is living on campus during my first year in Johnson Hall — waking up, looking out the window, and seeing a lake that looked like an ocean. It felt unreal to have a view that most people only see on vacation.

Living on campus has helped me stay connected to our community and has allowed for amazing memories and lasting friendships. As a senior, I room with someone who lived down the hall from me in my first-year dorm!
