Athletics and Recreation

Compete. Join a team. Try a new sport. Work out with friends. Or grab a seat and cheer on the Lakers.

Whether athletics has always been part of your life or you're looking for a new way to stay active, Oswego gives you plenty of opportunities to participate, connect and be part of the energy of Laker athletics.

NCAA Division III Athletics

Laker student-athletes bring their talent, commitment and teamwork to NCAA Division III competition while pursuing their goals in the classroom.

Across a wide range of men's and women's sports, you'll find opportunities to compete at the collegiate level and become part of a team and community that extends beyond the field, court, track or ice.

Oswego Lakers

Club and intramural sports

You don't have to be an NCAA athlete to experience the excitement of competition.

Club and intramural sports give students of different interests and experience levels opportunities to play, compete and meet people along the way. Stick with a sport you already love or challenge yourself to try something completely new.

CAMPUS RECREATION

Open recreation

Not everything needs to be a competition. Open recreation gives you the flexibility to stay active when it works for you.

Meet up with friends, head to the gym or pool, or make time for an activity between everything else happening in your day. It's another way to move, recharge and make recreation part of your Oswego experience.

Athletics and recreation facilities

Across campus, you'll find spaces built for competition, training, recreation and Laker pride.

From the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall and outdoor athletic fields to gyms, pools, fitness spaces and recreation areas, there are plenty of places to compete, practice, work out or cheer from the sidelines.
