Accessibility Resources supports students with special needs by providing services, adaptive technologies, and assistance to ensure all students have equal opportunities to succeed.

Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office offers grants, scholarships, loans, and employment opportunities. Even with VA or DoD benefits, students should explore all financial aid options thoroughly.

Career Services

Career Services supports students through a variety of services and programs that help with choosing a major, looking and apply for jobs, planning your career, graduate school guidance, and more. 

Cooperative Education Program

Our Cooperative Education Program (Co-op) provides hands-on experience through paid full-time work in a student’s field, while SUNY Oswego offers resources for preparation, success, and career development.

Counseling Services Center

Counseling Services Center offers free counseling for SUNY Oswego students, including individual, group, and couples sessions, helping improve coping skills, relationships, and personal development.

Office of Learning Services

The Office of Learning Services provides free tutoring through three centers, supporting various subjects, with walk-in and scheduled sessions available for lower-level and some upper-level courses.

Central New York Community Resources

Oswego VA Outpatient Clinic

The Oswego VA Clinic provides primary care, diagnostics, behavioral health services, and medications, with specialized care available through VA Health Care Upstate New York in Syracuse.

NYS Division of Veterans Affairs

The NYS Division of Veteran Affairs provides counseling and advocacy for New York State veterans and their families to ensure they receive benefits granted by law for their service to New York and the nation.

Syracuse VA Medical Center

The VA Medical Center provides comprehensive care, including primary, mental health, rehabilitation, and specialty services, along with community programs supporting mental health, homelessness, and vocational needs.

Oswego County Veterans Service Agency

The Oswego County Veterans Service Agency assists veterans and families with benefits, including compensation, education, health care, home loans, insurance, and survivor support programs.

Easter Seals New York

Easter Seals Syracuse offers vocational programs for veterans, providing personalized career support, job readiness training, mentorship, and employment plans to help secure and maintain meaningful employment.

Disabled American Veterans

Disabled American Veterans provides assistance with VA disability compensation, pension claims, and transportation to VA hospitals and other services.

Clear Path for Veterans

Clear Path supports military members, veterans, and families through wellness programs and community-based services, offering holistic resources in a safe, family-centered environment across central and upstate New York.

NYS Department of Labor - CNY Works

Veterans receive priority access to New York employment programs, with specialized support including career assessment, job referrals, resume help, job planning, and guidance on civil service opportunities.

Veterans of Foreign Wars

The VFW fosters camaraderie among veterans, advocates for their rights, and supports communities, ensuring veterans are respected, recognized, and receive the benefits they have earned.

The American Legion

The American Legion, founded in 1919, is a veterans organization focused on community programs, youth mentorship, patriotism, national security, and supporting servicemembers and veterans.
