Basic Needs

At SUNY Oswego, supporting basic needs is integral to academic success and overall student wellbeing. We are committed to helping students overcome challenges and advocate for what they need to be successful.

We define basic needs as the essential resources needed for physical and mental wellbeing, allowing our students to successfully complete their academic degree program. These include food, housing, clothing, transportation, and more. See below for more details, and select an option to learn about the resources available.

If you are unsure if you’re experiencing a basic needs challenge, we still highly encourage you to complete a basic needs request form.
