The health and wellbeing of our students is extremely important. We are dedicated to helping students make informed, healthy choices.

Sexperts

SUNY Oswego Sexperts are students who have extensive training on the topic of sexual and reproductive health and share that information with their peers through outreach, presentations, and other on campus events.  They coordinate the Menstruation Station, Junk Mail, and assist with the Health Hub vending machines.  If students are in need of sexual health supplies or would like to collaborate on an event, please reach out to [email protected]

Reflection Spaces

SUNY Oswego has a variety of spaces across campus for quiet reflection or private conversations. Junk Mail Order Form 

Sexperts

Sexperts: Sexperts are students who have extensive training on the topic of sexual and reproductive health and share that knowledge with their peers through programs and outreach. They have a stock of supplies at every program. To become a Sexpert, please look for the experience on Handshake or email [email protected].

OCO Reproductive Health

OCO Reproductive Health is on campus in Walker Health Center on Thursdays from 8:30am-4:30pm when classes are in session. This is a confidential, inclusive service. Services provided include: consultations or questions about sexual health needs, reproductive problems or concerns, contraception, STD treatment. Call/text 315-402-8689 for an appointment.

Health Hubs

Health Hubs vending machines are equipped with a variety of items that students may need.  Examples of items in these machines include internal and external condoms, dams, lubricant, finger cots, pregnancy tests, drug deactivation bags, fentanyl testing strips, STI testing kits, and menstruation products. and maxi pads.

There are two Health Hubs on campus-one is in the 24 hour room of Penfield Library (all items are free).  There is a second Health Hub in the Laker Lounge in Marano Campus Center.  This machine has similar items as the machine in the Penfield Library.  This machine also includes reusable menstrual cups and emergency contraception for $10 each (credit card sales only).

Other Condom & Prophylactic Availability

  • Health Services: Students can receive regular, internal, flavored, and magnum condoms from Health Services waiting rooms, bathrooms, and exam rooms. These are offered free of charge.
  • Vending Machines: Trojan-Enz condoms (3 in an envelope for .75). They are labeled with the contents and expiration date.
  • Junk Mail: Students can place an order online for products. Simply fill out our Junk Mail order form. On-campus students can have items delivered to their residence hall room via inter campus mail. Off-campus students can arrange to pick up items from our office.
  • SHOP: We carry a full supply of products, including all products that are on the Junk Mail order form. See SHOP webpage for hours of operation.
  • Residence Halls: Residence hall directors and staff can request products to have on hand for students. Type and quantity may differ per residence hall. See your RA for information.
  • Large Quantities: To request large quantities of condoms or other products, students should send an email to [email protected]. Please provide the products you'd like and the date these are needed.

Wilber Hall Prayer and Meditation Room

The Prayer and Meditation Room is located in 301 Wilber Hall. It is a quiet space for prayer, meditation, and religious observances. Chairs, yoga mats, and prayer mats are available. No food, fires, candles, or incense are permitted. The room is a communal space. Please be mindful of others using the space at the same time. Harmony Room at Mary Walker Health Center 

The Harmony Center in MWHC is located between Health Services and Counseling Services. It is open on Mondays –Fridays from 9:00 am-4:00pm, but may occasionally be signed out for short periods and be unavailable. The Harmony Room is a serene room with ambient and soft lighting surrounding comfortable seating, a massage chair and activities for rest and relaxation. Phone chargers can be checked out as well as a computer and TV screen (coming soon) for apps and sites that provide ambient music, yoga, progressive relaxation and other mindful activities.

Harmony Room at Penfield Library

The Harmony Room at Penfield is located on the second floor in room 212. It is available for individuals to use for up to 3 hours at a time during library hours. Please see the Check Out and Reserves desk to use the space. The Harmony Room is a space to visit when you're seeking calm. Inside the room are yoga mats, bean bag chairs, a sound/light machine, and a TV with meditation videos.

Privacy Booths 

Pillar Privacy Booths, located in various campus buildings, provide a secure and confidential space. The booths are perfect for a tele-health or other private meeting, short study time or just a quiet space to get away. Booths provide low lighting and outlets for electric and charging of items. They contain a tall chair, a narrow desk, 2 USB-A outlets, and 2 power outlets. The outer door is partially opaque (as shown in the photo), and the booths are sound-proof. At this time there is no reservation, please be sure to read guidelines on the booth. The ADA Compliant booth in Marano Campus Center/Poucher lounge and others may be occasionally reserved by the Office for Accessibility Services.
