Student Wellbeing and Care

The Office of Student Wellbeing and Care coordinates efforts to support student wellbeing through preventative health education, alcohol and other drug resources, basic needs support, and supportive case management.

We recognize that in order to fully support student wellbeing, a holistic approach is essential to support students' basic needs, provide prevention and education, and offer recovery and crisis intervention.

Basic Needs

At SUNY Oswego, we are committed to helping students overcome challenges and advocate for what they need to be successful. We define basic needs as the essential resources needed for physical and mental wellbeing, allowing our students to successfully complete their academic degree program. These include food, housing, clothing, transportation, and more.
