Important Notice: MANDATORY Masking At Health Services:

Starting January 10, in response to a significant rise in cases of influenza and COVID-19, we are requiring universal masking for everyone visiting or working at the Health Center. This means wearing a mask is required for ALL patients and employees. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and this measure is crucial in protecting both you and our staff. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to create a safer environment for everyone. Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy and secure community at Health Services.

Updates:

Health Services will be closed for lunch every day from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Additionally, on Wednesdays, we will be closed for a weekly staff meeting from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we strive to provide you with the best care possible.

Making an Appointment

Walker Health Services has resumed self-scheduling on the Patient Portal. To schedule an appointment, use the button below. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late for their appointment may be rescheduled. If you have any questions or cannot find a suitable appointment on-line, please call us at 315.312.4100.

No-Show, Late, and Cancellation Policy

It is the goal of Health Services to provide excellent care to each student in a timely manner. It is also the policy of Health Services to monitor and manage appointment no-shows and late cancellations. If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, students are requested to call (315) 312-4100, or cancel on the patient portal at least 24 hours before their appointment time. Notification allows Health Services to better utilize appointments for other students in need of prompt medical care.

“No Show” shall mean any student who fails to arrive for a scheduled appointment.  
“Same Day Cancellation” shall mean any student who cancels an appointment less than 24 hours before their scheduled appointment.  
“Late Arrival” shall mean any student who arrives 10 minutes or more after their expected arrival time. 

Medical excuses for missed classes/exams/assignments

Health Services has a long-standing policy that excuses for missed classes, exams or assignments are not written by Health Services personnel. Class attendance is an administrative matter between the student and the instructor.This policy is supported by ACHA (American College Health Association).

Supporting the College Campus Community

The staff of Health Services is delighted to extend support to you in a non-judgmental and caring manner. Our nurse practitioners are board-certified and specialized providers in the area of college health. The staff is highly experienced in responding to the medical and health concerns of the college's diverse population of students. Health Services is proudly accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

We encourage you to utilize our medical and educational services as you used your hometown provider's office. We are committed to providing student focused care as well as health and wellness educational and promotional opportunities.
