Housing Support

SUNY Oswego's Homeless Liaison works to support students experiencing housing insecurity by coordinating resources, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration across campus departments to promote student stability and success.

The Homeless Liaison’s responsibilities include:

  • Connecting students experiencing housing instability with appropriate on- and off-campus resources
  • Serving as a point of coordination between students and campus partners
  • Providing individualized support, referrals, and advocacy based on each student’s circumstances

SUNY Oswego is committed to supporting students in accessing safe, stable, and inclusive living environments. Students are encouraged to seek assistance as early as possible.

Break Housing and Dining Awards

Residential students may apply to stay on campus during breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring and Summer). Break housing scholarships and partial break dining awards are available to students who are facing housing and/or food insecurity during the breaks.

Emergency Housing

Residence Life and Housing provides short term emergency housing for SUNY Oswego students enrolled in classes who have circumstances beyond their control which leads to their need for temporary housing. To request emergency housing, please complete the Basic Needs Request Form. If you have an urgent request outside of business hours please contact University Police at 315-312-5555.

Classifications of Housing Insecurity
