Graduate Scholarships

Internal

Internal scholarships are specific to SUNY Oswego and are offered through SUNY Oswego programs and departments. Many of these scholarships are funded by alumni and donors.  

Recipients must be active students in the upcoming fall semester. Awards will be applied to the upcoming fall semester bill.

Augustine Silveira, Jr. Research Award

Must be enrolled in the Chemistry graduate program. Contact the Chemistry Department for more information.

Recipients must be active students in the upcoming fall semester. Awards will be applied to the upcoming fall semester bill.

Aulus Saunders Service Award

Must be enrolled in Art, Art Education or Graphic Design and Digital Media graduate program. Contact the Art and Design Department for more information.

Charles Turner Graduate Award

Must be a graduating SUNY Oswego senior with a GPA of 3.5 or higher entering a SUNY Oswego graduate program.

Recipients must be active students in the upcoming fall semester. Awards will be applied to the upcoming fall semester bill.

Must be enrolled in the Higher Education Leadership graduate program.

Donald Snygg Graduate Scholarship

Must be enrolled in a graduate program in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services. Contact the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services.

Gary Klatsky Memorial Scholarship

Must be a graduating SUNY Oswego senior accepted into the Master of Arts degree in Human-Computer Interaction at SUNY Oswego and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Recipients must be active students in the upcoming fall semester. Awards will be applied to the upcoming fall semester bill.

Jack C. James Scholarship

Must be a non-tradition undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in SUNY Oswego's School of Education full or part time and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have demonstrated financial need.

SUNY Oswego Stay and Complete Award

All SUNY Oswego Alumni who start their graduate education within 12 months of their Bachelor's degree conferral automatically receive this award in their first semester of graduate study without needing to apply.

This is a one-time award.

External scholarships are offered and funded outside of the institution. This particular list includes opportunities that SUNY Oswego students have been awarded in the past.

Masters-In-Education Teacher Incentive Scholarship

This one-time scholarship is awarded annually to full-time SUNY postgraduate or professional school students. Check the Higher Education services corporation website for more updated information.

 

New York Women in Communications Scholarship

Awarded to graduate students who intend to pursue or further a career in communication. Check the New York Women in Communications website for more updated information.

 

Teach Grant (External)

Awarded students in exchange for completion of a service obligation teaching in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families. Visit the Higher Education Services Corporation for more information.

 

UUP William E. Scheuerman Post Baccalaureate Scholarship

This one-time scholarship is awarded annually to full-time SUNY postgraduate or professional school students. Check the UUP Awards website for more updated information.
