The SUNY Oswego Stay and Complete Award is designed to recognize SUNY Oswego undergraduate students who complete their bachelor’s degree and move into a SUNY Oswego graduate certificate or degree program within 12 months of their bachelor's degree conferral. This one-time $300 tuition grant is awarded in your first semester of graduate study.
Graduate students should note that graduate funding cannot exceed the cost of attendance, calculated by the Office of Financial Aid. Students who are granted the Stay and Complete Award should be aware that this award is typically confirmed several weeks into the beginning of the semester; as such, many students would already have been awarded federal loans and received a refund by the time the Stay and Complete Award is applied to their account.
Students should be aware that they may not receive these Stay and Complete Awards directly, as the institution cannot distribute refunds that exceed the estimated cost of attendance; in the case that a student has received their maximum refund, the Stay and Complete Awards will be applied to the unsubsidized federal loan principle rather than distributed to the student in the form of a refund.
