Scott Steiger

With a busy season for tornadoes on the ground and the new blockbusters "Twisters" on screens everywhere, interest in this powerful weather phenomenon is at an all-time high. Real-life stormchaser Scott Steiger can answer questions about tornadoes and other extreme weather events. In addition to leading previous SUNY Oswego Storm Chasers classes, Steiger recently traveled with a team of researchers that tracked and documented one of the most powerful tornadoes ever recorded.

Dr. Allison Rank

Dr. Rank, an associate professor of American Politics, focuses her research on youth in politics, civic engagement, and the intersection of pop culture and politics. Her work is published in journals such as New Political Science and the Journal of Political Science Education. She teaches political science and manages Vote Oswego, a nonpartisan voter mobilization program. She has received multiple awards from the American Association of State Colleges and Universities American Democracy Project and other organizations recognizing her excellent work.
