Cheryl Beck

Beck has been an educator for the past 30 years. Her professional life has afforded the opportunity to teach all grade levels and to serve as a teacher leader for the Oswego City School District. Beck has led professional development and currently work as a Literacy Coach at the Oswego Middle School.

She also has worked with pre-service teachers at SUNY Oswego as an adjunct instructor for the past 1- years teaching foundational reading skills. Beck was honored by the Writing Institute hosted by SUNY Oswego and Oswego County BOCES for her work teaching writing throughout her tenure as a classroom teacher. 

Beck's research interests are in curriculum and instruction and how children develop the skills necessary for proficient reading and writing. She loves working with students and adults to help them develop their academic potential and hopes to finish her dissertation for a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in the near future.
