Steven E. Abraham

Bio

Steven E. Abraham is currently a professor in the School of Business, where he teaches employment law, labor relations and human resource management. He holds a BS in labor relations from Cornell University (1980), a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law (1983) and a Ph.D. in industrial relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1992). He is a member of the New York State Bar as well as the bars of the Eastern and Southern District of New York. 

Between obtaining his JD and Ph. D. degrees, Dr. Abraham practiced labor/employment law in New York City in two law firms and one corporation (for a total of five years). His practice areas focused on employment law and labor law representing management. Since leaving the full-time practice of law and pursuing a career in academia, Professor Abraham has provided legal advice to law firms on a number of occasions. His research interests are in all areas of law related to human resource management, union management relations and human resource management generally.
