Desk Attendant
Desk attendants (DAs) are essential to OLS' operations. DAs welcome tutees, log visits, make tutoring appointments, answer student questions, receive incoming phone calls and record messages for professional staff. OLS' DA positions are Work-Study and generally offer 3-6 hours of work per week. DA positions are compensated at the current minimum wage.

Peer Tutor
Peer tutors are model students who assist others with course content, study skills, writing and technology. Being an academic position, the peer tutor role has several minimum requirements.
Requirements
- maintain a cumulative and current GPA of at least 2.75
- be in good academic standing
- earn a B+ or greater in courses tutored
- obtain two academic references
- submit two writing samples for review (writing tutor applicants only)
- satisfactorily complete GST308 - Peer Tutor Training during first semester on staff
Peer tutors are compensated at an hourly rate based on experience. The starting pay rates for undergraduate and graduate tutors are $16.00 and $18.00 respectively
