One-on-One Services

Tutoring Session

Meet one-on-one with a peer who has already completed the course. During a tutoring session, tutors will use your notes and assignments as a guide for assisting you. Please bring all relevant class materials to your session and be prepared to work! 

Writing Assistance 

Writing assistance appointments are scheduled for one hour and can be made in any of the following categories: essay/research paper, creative writing, and personal statement/scholarship application.

Academic Coaching 

Develop the academic skills necessary for student success! Students can learn a combination of traditional and modern approaches to time management and studying during these one-hour sessions. Academic coaches are not familiar with course content. For assistance with course content, please schedule a tutoring session.

  • Be prepared to work. Tutoring sessions are active and involve a lot of practice.
  • Make yourself comfortable. OLS provides complimentary coffee, tea, hot cocoa, snacks, ramen and oatmeal.
  • Meet your tutor at the OLS Suite, Penfield Library 112-114.
