Online Writing Tutoring Program
General Information
Writing tutors reserve one hour for online writing tutoring sessions; arrive to your session with questions or goals you’d like to achieve to maximize this time. All writing tutoring sessions are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Please arrive at your Zoom session on time. If you will be late, or unable to attend your appointment, please email your tutor to notify them. Please be aware that all sessions will be recorded and reviewed by the writing coordinator. For questions or concerns pertaining to OLS online writing, please email [email protected].
Requirements
Sessions will take place on Zoom, Google Docs will be used for leaving feedback and for collaboration during the session. Please make sure you have access to both applications before your appointment.
You will be asked to share your document with your writing tutor via Google Docs. Your tutor can help you with this once you enter the Zoom session. Please bring your assignment to the session as well. Ensure you have a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a working camera and microphone. A tablet or a computer is recommended. Please keep your camera on during your session. If you are unable to meet these requirements, please reschedule.
