Our Voya Financial representative, Aaron Cahill, will be holding one-on-one in person meetings on Thursday, May 18th in the Marano Campus Center, Room 226.

TIAA retirement representative Darryl Fiasconaro will be available for one-on-one consultations on Wednesday, May 3rd from 9:00am - 5:00pm . This will be held in the Marano Campus Center room 239.

Are you planning to travel this summer, or will your child be starting college in another state next fall? Remember to pack a copy of the 2023 On the Road with the Empire Plan booklet. This publication includes contact and claims information for Empire Plan programs and administrators that you may find helpful while you are traveling or when your dependents are away from home.

Summer hours for office employees will begin effective Monday, May 15, 2023. Hours will be 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with a one half-hour lunch break. Summer hours will remain in effect through Friday, August 18, 2023. Regular office hours will resume as of Monday, August 21, 2023. The Office of Human Resources would like to remind all New York State employees who contributed to a "Flex Spending Account" (FSA) in 2022, that the plan year ends on December 31, but you still have 90 days from this date to send in documentation of qualifying expenses you incurred during the plan year. So, you have until March 31, 2023 to submit claims for services rendered from January 1 through December 31 of the preceding year.

This is a reminder that ERS will be distributing during the months of May & June the MAS which contains valuable information that can help members understand their retirement benefits and plan for the future. 

ERS will be mailing your MAS directly to your home address. Statements are provided directly to a member's home address, so it is important that ERS have the member's current contact information on file.

When filing your online application, please be advised that technical assistance is available Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A new six-week course is available to help CSEA-represented NYS employees read and understand written materials. Participants who sign up for our Adult Education Basics Program – Effective Reading Skills 1 (Online) will explore techniques such as skimming, scanning, learning the roots of words, and asking meaningful questions to better understand chosen passages. Courses will be delivered via Canvas, a web-based learning management system. Canvas enables instructors to present online learning materials and assess student learning.
