As part of our commitment to serving our students, Auxiliary Services established a break meal service as a part of your semester meal plan costs. This reduces the financial burden on you as you can plan for what your on-campus costs will be. We hope this helps you to stay when you need to, and perform research with our faculty without the stress of how you will eat.

Resident Dining Summer Meal Plan
Students (with the exception of residents in The Village) will be charged a meal fee of $30 per day.
May 18 - August 2, 2026: 2 Meals with $5 Laker Dining Dollars per day (meal swipes for use in a Resident Dining Hall).
August 3 - August 14, 2026:
Fall academic semester meal plans begin Monday, August 3, 2026.
Students without a fall academic semester meal plan (with the exception of Village residents moved in for the fall semester) will continue to be charged the meal fee of $30 per day for 2 Meals with $5 Laker Dining Dollars per day (meal swipes for use in a Resident Dining Hall).

How to purchase a Summer Meal Plan
Sign a Break Housing Agreement with Residence Life & Housing. The appropriate Laker Dining Dollars and Summer Meal Plan per day fee will automatically be added to your bill.
Laker Dining Dollars may be increased at any time via the secure portal on our website or visit the ID & Meal Plan Office, 503 Culkin Hall. Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. Cash, check or credit card accepted.
Unused Meals and Laker Dining Dollars
- Meal swipes roll over into the fall semester provided a fall academic semester meal plan is purchased.
- Laker Dining Dollars, whether included as part of the meal plan or purchased as additional funds, roll over from summer to fall, provided a fall academic meal plan is purchased.
- Meal plans and Laker Dining Dollars are non-refundable per New York State Law.
