Auxiliary Services Team in Cooper

Auxiliary Services

Auxiliary Services is SUNY Oswego’s not-for-profit partner, focused on enhancing your college experience. From dining and course materials to health insurance and vending, we’re here to support you.
As the campus’s largest student employer, we give back through scholarships, upgraded spaces, and student-led programs that bring campus to life.
We’re part of your community—helping you grow, connect, and thrive.

Auxiliary Services is launching several new initiatives in 2025–2026 to strengthen student support, enhance campus dining, and promote long-term sustainability. These efforts include expanding meal access, introducing new student support funds, enhancing wellness and inclusion resources, investing in sustainable infrastructure and dining facilities, and creating new career-building opportunities for SUNY Oswego students.

Enhancing Student Support

Meal plans will now start earlier (August 4) and include service during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks — with no increase in cost.
We’re donating 2,000 meal swipes to SHOP, the on-campus food pantry, to assist students without meal plans. We’re also launching a $20,000 Course Material Scholarship to help reduce out-of-pocket academic expenses.
We’re enhancing wellness and inclusion by adding a second wellness vending machine and expanding our selection of health and beauty products to better reflect and serve our students’ diverse needs.
These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to helping every Laker thrive — on campus, in the classroom, and beyond.

Investing in Sustainability

We’re installing on-site food dehydrators to process both pre- and post-consumer food waste, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and cutting back on waste hauling.
Our dining facilities will benefit from new high-efficiency equipment across campus cafés and kitchens, improving service while lowering energy use.
We’re making service improvements based on student feedback, keeping your all-time favorites while reducing environmental impact.
Finally, we’re preparing for the next phase of major capital investment, including a renovation of Cooper Dining and expansion of our on-campus bakeshop.
These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to protecting the environment and sustaining the world we all share.
