Common Questions
Q: How do I schedule an exam with Accessibility Resources? A: You can schedule your exam by scheduling online through the Accessibility Resources Exam Accommodation Scheduling Form at least three (3) working-days in advance, or by stopping into the office and telling one of our staff the details of the exam you'd like to take. Please note that Finals are scheduled differently. Refer to emails from [email protected] for details.
Q: What should I do if I can't take my exam during the normal class time? A: Your first step is to contact your professor and request to take your exam at another time. At that point, you can provide your professor approval to the Office of Accessibility Resources and they can sign you up for a new time to take your exam.
Q: What should I bring on the day of the exam? A: Bring any approved materials, such as notes or calculators, and your student ID. Food and beverages are allowed in the exam rooms. However, please try to be mindful of other students' testing and refrain from bringing food and beverages that could cause distractions (e.g. foods with noisy wrappers)
Q: Can I use my own laptop for exams? A: Accessibility Resources can provide access to computers in a majority of our testing rooms. If you require specific software or settings, please inform the staff when you sign up for your exam. Students may use personal devices if permitted and approved by the course instructor and the staff in Accessibility Resources.
Q: What should I do if I need to reschedule my exam? A: Whenever an exam needs to be taken outside typical class time, you need to get professor approval for the new time. At that point, you can provide your professor approval to the Office of Accessibility Resources and they can sign you up for a new time to take your exam.
