First-Year Student Housing

First-year students are assigned with other first-year students as their roommates in our traditional residence halls of Cayuga, Johnson and Oneida halls (new first year students only), Hart, Waterbury, and Scales. All new first-year students are required to live on campus the first two years. All halls are staffed and offer programs to assist first-year students.

WEST CAMPUS

Cayuga Hall

Cayuga is a first-year community that offers double room accommodations. Residents of Cayuga are able to catch our famous sunsets from the lawn.

CENTRAL CAMPUS

Funnelle Hall

Beginning Fall 2026, Funnelle is a first-year community that offers double room accommodations.Located in the center of campus, close to many academic buildings and connected to Cooper Dining Hall and Cooper Fitness Center. 

Oneida Hall.

WEST CAMPUS

Oneida Hall

One of four residence halls on west campus and open to first-year students, Oneida offers double standard rooms in a corridor style building.

CENTRAL CAMPUS

Hart Hall

Hart Hall is a mixed building housing first-year and upper-division students. Hart Hall is conveniently located in the center of campus. Hart Hall also offers limited paid single room options for upper-division students. 

Waterbury Hall.

LAKESIDE

Waterbury Hall

Home to approximately 200 students, offering residents lake access, a rec facility, and a 24-hour study area. Waterbury is a mixed building housing first-year and upper-division students. Waterbury Hall also offers limited paid single room options for upper-division students.
