Faculty-student Challenge Grants

The purpose of the Challenge Grant program is to promote and support student/faculty summer scholarly collaboration that ultimately leads to publications, presentations, performances, and/or external grant applications.

Amount: $4,500

Graduate Student Conference Support

Registration fee support for graduate students attending conferences.

Graduate students enrolled in a graduate degree or certificate program at SUNY Oswego may apply for a maximum award of $250 toward registration costs once they are enrolled at SUNY Oswego.  Funding requests must include a completed application, a brief (200 words or less) description of the importance of the conference to your professional plans, the total amount of the registration fee, and support from a graduate faculty member. In addition, you should attach a copy or screenshot of the conference information, including location and date.

RISE Conference Travel Grant

To support students who travel to make presentations at conferences, exhibits, or performances. Preferences will be given to students who are presenting their own work. 

Amount: $4,000

Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grants

The Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee (SCAC)at SUNY Oswego oversees a series of grant programs that support research and creative activities in which our faculty and students participate.

Amount: $1,000
Deadline: First Monday in November by 4:30pm (Fall)
Third Monday in February by 4:30pm (Spring)
