Starfish

We believe a campus community engaged with our students will lead to their success. We use the Starfish Early Alert System as a collaborative effort between instructors and advisors to identify students who are at-risk of failing and allow faculty and staff to communicate and track interventions with students.

Log-in to Starfish

Students and advisors can access Starfish through the following options:

  • Brightspace: Log into Brightspace, you will find Starfish in the top left corner of the navigation bar.
  • myOswego: In the Advisor menu, enter an individual student's profile, you will see a link for Starfish on the left navigation bar.
  • Direct Link: Use this direct link to Starfish.

Monitoring Your Progress

Starfish allows advisors and faculty to monitor your academic progress. Faculty can set up meetings to help you if they're concerned about your academic progress. Advisors can also give kudos when you're excelling!

Browser/Connection Issues

Starfish operates best in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. If you are having issues with Starfish or receiving error messages, try switching browsers. For additional support with other connection issues, email [email protected].
