SUNY Oswego Direct provides eligible high school seniors in Oswego County and the Syracuse City School District with a simplified pathway to apply for admission to SUNY Oswego.
What is SUNY Oswego Direct?
SUNY Oswego Direct was launched in early 2026 to provide eligible Oswego County and Syracuse City School District high school seniors with a direct pathway into SUNY Oswego for Fall 2026.
Students applying to EOP must apply through either the SUNY Application or the Common App.
The SUNY Oswego Direct form process:
- Removes unnecessary application steps
- Includes an application fee waiver
- Reduces the time from application to admission offer
- Provides accepted students who meet need-based requirements with scholarships to help make attending college more affordable
Eligibility
Participation is currently limited to students attending public high schools in Oswego County and in the Syracuse City School District.

What to Do Next
Apply by March 15, 2026
Complete the SUNY Oswego Direct Form by March 15, 2026 for priority scholarship consideration.

Apply for Financial Aid
Apply for financial aid and complete both the FAFSA and New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

Scholarships & Awards
Students who apply through SUNY Oswego Direct may be considered for the following opportunities:
Oswego County students
Admitted students who complete the FAFSA and TAP, and have demonstrated financial need remaining after other awards are applied, will be considered for an additional $3,000 per year (renewable for up to four years) scholarship from SUNY Oswego.
Syracuse City School District students
Students who meet Say Yes Syracuse eligibility requirements and complete the FAFSA and TAP may be considered for last-dollar SUNY/CUNY Tuition Scholarships and/or up to $3,000 per year in Opportunity Grants.
