ORSP Newsletter - December 2025

Inaugural Issue

From the Associate Provost

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the ORSP Newsletter! As we approach 2026, I’m excited to share updates that reflect SUNY Oswego’s continued momentum in research, scholarly activity, and external grant development. With over $7.6 million in sponsored program awards last year—our highest in over a decade—we are steadily building toward national sponsored research activity recognition, including the Carnegie classification of Research Colleges and Universities.

This newsletter is designed to keep you informed, spotlight your accomplishments, and connect you with opportunities and resources that support your work and celebrate your accomplishments. Whether you’re submitting your first proposal or managing a multi-year award, ORSP staff members are here to partner with you.

Let’s continue to grow, connect, and thrive—together.

Dr. Bill Bowers
Associate Provost for Research Development and Administration
