Off-Campus and Commuter Resources

The Office of the Dean of Students offers services and opportunities for off-campus and commuter students to become actively involved within the college community.

Off-campus and commuter students make up approximately half of SUNY Oswego's total enrollment. This diverse population includes local first-year students residing at home, upperclass students living in the surrounding community and non-traditional students who have careers and families of their own.

Our goal is to connect students to information about living off campus, services, advocacy information, and ideas to help students remain engaged and active in our college campus community.

Off-campus and commuter students are strongly encouraged to consult with us for guidance or to learn about resources and referrals.

Free Legal Aid. Student Association (SA) provides Legal Aid services for students who have paid the mandatory student activities fee. Legal advice, contract review and 1:1 legal counseling are available. See hours below under "Legal Services".
