Producing a strong résumé and cover letter is the foundation for a successful job search. These documents are typically an employer’s first impression of you and your experience, and they play a critical role in their decision to move candidates forward in the search process.

What is a Résumé?

A résumé is a brief written account of personal, educational, and professional qualifications and experiences. It includes carefully selected and organized information that shows how your skills and past experiences are related to your future job target or goals.

Peer Interns are available on a drop-in basis at the Resource Center at 145 Marano Campus Center, in academic buildings, and virtually via Zoom. Favorite Thing(s) About Oswego:

My favorite things about Oswego are its beautiful natural surroundings and peaceful environment, especially the breathtaking views of Lake Ontario. I also really love and value the diverse and inclusive community at SUNY Oswego, which has made me feel welcomed, supported, and safe as an international student.

My future career goal is to work in higher education as a student affairs professional, where I can use my Sociology background to support, guide, and inspire students. I want to focus on areas like academic advising, residence life, or career services, helping students reach their full potential. To achieve this, I plan to pursue graduate school in higher education and build a career where I can create positive change and inclusive communities on campus.

Favorite Thing(s) About Oswego:

My favorite thing to do in Oswego is being involved in the community by connecting with students, planning events, and creating a sense of belonging. I also enjoy spending time at the lake, especially watching the sunsets and taking peaceful walks by the water.

Involvement On Campus/Community:

I am involved on campus as a Resident Assistant in Riggs Hall, a Career Peer Intern, and I work in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) as well as Accessibility Resources. I also served as a Laker Leader in Summer 2024 and 2025, and I organized community events such as the Holi Festival.
