Assistant Dean of Students, Basic Needs Case Manager

When I saw the job posting at SUNY Oswego, I was immediately drawn to it because I wanted to advance my work in college basic needs security and wanted to return to Central New York. When I interviewed, the instant feeling of community solidified my decision to work here. I enjoy working at SUNY Oswego because our campus is tight knit and I think we're all invested in student wellbeing and success. I have also really enjoyed getting to work with students and learn from them. Our students are creative, brilliant, and resilient. I would like to create a pathway for a director position in a basic needs center within the Division of Student Affairs. While that may be in the distant future, I believe we are setting the foundation for it to become a possibility through our strengthened and expanded basic needs services, programs, and collaborations. I hope to continue developing my skills in operation management, supervision, and student affairs leadership.
