At SUNY Oswego, the Division of Student Affairs (DSA) is united around a singular focus - helping students thrive throughout their university journey. We believe that each admitted student has the capacity to graduate, and we have a moral responsibility to do everything we can to ensure student success.
To achieve this, we work collaboratively with colleagues across the university and in partnership with students to offer ongoing advocacy, support, and problem-solving to help students when challenges arise. All college students face obstacles, some personal, some academic. Regardless of the type or the size of the issues, DSA staff members are available to help students navigate them and connect with the right resources.
Beyond support services, we also provide co-curricular experiences that enrich students' educational pursuits and overall SUNY Oswego experience. Through clubs and organizations, residence halls, leadership development, athletics, and more, there are countless opportunities for students to have fun, find their community, discover new passions, and apply what they are learning. Research clearly shows that the more involved students are, the more confident they feel that they belong - and the more likely they are to persist and graduate.
I look forward to seeing many of you around the Oswego campus, in Syracuse, and online. Please reach out to Division of Student Affairs staff members to let us know how we can best assist and support you.
Sincerely,

Dr. Kathleen G. Kerr
