H. Lee White Maritime Museum: “Seeing Below the Surface”

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum’s Sanctuary Speaker Series will feature the Upstate Freshwater Institute’s “Seeing Below the Surface: Exploration of Water Quality in Lake Ontario” on August 19, 2026. The program will explore how advanced monitoring buoy systems and underwater imagery are being used to study Lake Ontario’s water quality and support scientific research and recreation. The work contributes to ongoing efforts within the Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary.
