On your Brightspace course page, there will be a link called RedShelf. Your course materials are usually available by clicking the RedShelf link, other times your instructor will have a link to the course materials directing you to the publisher's page.  Instructors typically make the course available on Blackboard the week before classes start, but that time period will vary.

For the spring 2024 semester, you have until Friday, February 9th to opt-out. Please talk with your instructor before you opt-out in case the included materials constitute a portion of your grade.

Using eTexts with Redshelf provides students with many advantages.

  • Read textbooks anywhere, no app required. Works on every major browser.
  • Highlight text and add comments.
  • Put notes together into personalized study guides.
  • Create in-text and marginal annotations; organize to suit your preferences.
  • Find definitions of difficult words with the built-in dictionary.
  • Create, organize, and study flashcards within the eReader.
  • Join groups of fellow students and teachers to collaborate and share notes.
