Tianna graduated with her BS in Psychology and Human Services from Bluefield University in 2021. During her collegiate studies, she was a 5 year starter on the women’s basketball team. She received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same university in 2024, while also being an Assistant Coach for the women’s basketball team. These experiences created a passion for being an advocate, especially for athletes. She has experience working with clients in crisis situations, and ongoing group and individual services. Tianna enjoys working with folks from underrepresented groups and athletes.
Tianna’s therapeutic orientation includes relational cultural theory, which focuses on the intersectional identities of her clients and utilizing culture as a tool for connection. She firmly believes that culture has an impact on relationships and that social values inform human psychology. She often incorporates CBT techniques into her practice as well.
In her free time,Tianna enjoys being in nature and playing basketball. She also loves collecting new and fun phone cases.
