
Lauren graduated with her BS in in Social Work from Syracuse University in 2012. During her undergraduate studies, she was a mentor with refugee services and led outreach events to provide HIV/AIDS education and awareness. She was also involved in Greek life. Lauren continued at SU and received her MS in Social Work in 2013. Lauren's engagement on campus throughout her college career inspired her to pursue working in higher education.
Lauren has been passionate about advocating for human and individuals rights to self-determination in the Syracuse community for the past 15 years. She feels strongly that everyone has a story; being able to learn about people, their cultures, and their personal journeys is important to her and her therapeutic practice. Lauren has over 15 years working in the Syracuse community as a licensed Social Worker, and has experience working with diverse clients coping with depression, anxiety, substance use disorder, and suicidality. In all of her roles, Lauren provided therapeutic support while also connecting clients to local resources. She takes a multimodal approach to therapy, incorporating solution-focused, DBT, ACT, and person-centered theories into her practice.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys outdoor activities all year round - swimming, skiing, hiking, and triathlons! She also participates in her local community garden and loves spending time with her family and friends.
