Cory is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and completed her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling with a certificate in Trauma Studies from SUNY Oswego. Her therapeutic approach is best described as eclectic with a strong person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and trauma-informed influence. She works from a wellness framework, and has interests in Mindfulness, EMDR, Body Positivity and Ecotherapy. She is an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist. She is also a certified Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy group facilitator. Before counseling, she was a New York state certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY Cortland and a Master's Degree in Education from Queens College. When not on campus, she enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, travelling, and watching whatever sport her teenage sons are playing. She is happiest when she is outside with nothing on her schedule for the day.
