What I enjoy most about working with students:

I enjoy meeting students at such a crucial stage in their life as they are learning about themselves and watching them figure out strengths, power, and impact.

What are your areas of focus or interests in Counseling?:

I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing(EMDR) and mindfulness-based ecotherapy.  I also have specialized training in eating disorders, body image, and CBT.  I have experience working with most issues and populations. I integrate many strategies in my clinical approach based on a client's needs and preference.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

I am happiest when I am outside, whether in my garden, in the woods, near the water, or just walking down the street with my dog, Otto.  I love to laugh and enjoy funny movies and comedy shows.  I also am an avid sports fan and often am watching whatever sport is in season.

What advice would you give to your first-year self?

Do something new everyday, ask the questions, and let people hear your humor.
