BLACK STAR

Black Star, Cast iron, steel and blue flocking, 2022

Coral Penelope Lambert

My work explores forces of nature and seeks to address darker issues related to the earth’s resources, such as mining and contamination. As a sculptor who works directly with material and process I place great importance on where materials come from and how they have been processed over time by natural or human acts. My objective is to create an experience that resonates with the viewer in a physical and mindful way, the abstract nature of the work invites the public to develop their own interpretations about materials, resources and natural phenomena.
