Nicholas Nixon produces intimate photographic portraits; often with heart-wrenching results. In the 1980’s, when AIDS was yet a mysterious and untreatable disease, Nixon created the documentary series People with AIDS. The series is credited with spreading awareness of the then-deadly disease. Here Nixon documents a father and son whose time together is knowingly limited.
