Welcome from the Director

Lillian's Head Shot
Lillian Evans, M.Ed.

The James A. Triandiflou Institute of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Transformative Practice is committed to aid in fostering a sense of belonging for all faculty, staff, students, and community members at SUNY Oswego. We aim to engage the campus and beyond in meaningful and thought provoking strategies. The Institute understands the importance of our work and how we shape the experiences of individuals on the campus.

We are motivated by creating spaces for self-awareness, enhancing inclusive practices, and appreciation for the lived experiences of all people. We hope to achieve our goals through our dialogues, workshops, programs, and research. But, we also realize we do not work in a vacuum. The Institute calls on everyone to aid in the design of our campus to produce a  that believes in equity for all.

The Triandflou Institute for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Transformative Practice is here to advocate, support, challenge and create a stronger environment along with each of you. We want you to know that each of you has a place at SUNY Oswego.

I hope you will visit us at the institute and join us in our efforts to build a stronger future.
