For over four decades, the SIBSS has offered approximately 130 students ages 5-14, opportunities for academic, creative, and cultural learning experiences over a two-week period during the summer.
Individuals can teach for one and/or two weeks of the program, Monday through Friday: July 21 - July 25 and/or July 28- August 1, 2025.
Instructors are asked to submit a curriculum proposal for each week of the camp they are interested in teaching. Priority will be given to lessons that are adaptable for both younger and older student audiences. Multiple course proposal submissions are encouraged and may be submitted. We encourage creativity in lesson concepts across varying academic, artistic, cultural, and/or community engagement realms!
Please review the “Course Proposal Information Document” prior to submitting a teaching application.

Instructors will also be required to submit information to be checked through the NYS Sex Offender Registry and attend a mandatory virtual child protection training before the program begins.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but the highest consideration will be given to proposals submitted before March 1, 2025.
