External Engagement

  • Provided welcome remarks and greeted VIP guests on campus from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, coordinated by Dean of Graduate Studies Kristen Eichorn.
  • Attended the official ceremony of the designation of Lake Ontario as a National Marine Sanctuary.
  • Led the Cabinet and President’s Council retreat planning meetings with external facilitators from EAB and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.
  • Held a meeting with SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry President Joanne Mahoney and her team, accompanied by Vice President for Enrollment Management Cory Bezek, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Scott Furlong, and Vice President for Administration and Finance Victoria Furlong.
  • Met with entrepreneur and alumnus Jeff Knauss, joined by Vice President for University Advancement Mary Canale.
  • Attended the SUNY Presidents' meeting via Zoom.
  • Participated in Zoom meeting with Kelly Leon, executive-in-charge, Washington-based Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP).
  • Participated in SUNY Poly’s inauguration of its seventh president, Winston Soboyejo.
  • Met with Elliott Boyce, SUNY Oswego alumnus and second vice president, NAACP Syracuse Chapter.

Internal Engagement

  • Provided welcome remarks at the university-wide Strategic Planning Town Hall.
  • Hosted student drop-in session in the Marano Campus Center food court.
  • Continued to hold meetings with individual faculty, staff, and students across the university.
  • Met with Student Association President Aiden Wilson and Vice President Oghenetega Adjoh with Vice President for Student Affairs Kathleen Kerr.
  • Held a meeting with faculty in the Accounting, Finance and Law Department, accompanied by the Dean of the School of Business, Prabakar Kothandaraman, and Director of Operations in the Office of the President Jamal Coleman.
  • Met with faculty in the Chemistry Department, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Kristin Croyle, and Director of Operations in the Office of the President Jamal Coleman.
  • Chaired the President's Council meeting held at the Marano Campus Center.
  • Led the President's Facilities Planning Group meeting.
  • Led the President’s Council meeting that convened SUNY Oswego's leaders from various departments and divisions.
  • Met with Faculty Assembly Chair Gwen Kay with Provost Scott Furlong and attended the Faculty Assembly meeting led by Chair Kay.
  • Attended the ALANA Multicultural Conference, featuring keynote speaker Ebone Bell.
  • Chaired the UUP Labor-Management meeting.
  • Hosted Breakfast for our Oswego University Foundation student ambassadors.
  • Met with the leadership of the Presidential Inauguration Planning Committee.
  • Attended meetings, events, and provided remarks during Inauguration Week and Founder’s Weekend:
    • Received the City of Oswego Proclamation and provided remarks.
    • Attended the Syracuse Campus Community Reception, received the City of Syracuse Proclamation, and provided remarks.
    • Provided remarks at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Laker Lounge.
    • Provided welcome remarks at the Lewis B. O’Donnell Media Summit.
    • Attended various student-led showcases and events.
    • Hosted and moderated the inaugural Sheldon Lecture on Leadership and Service featuring Oswego alumnus Bob Moritz.
    • Provided remarks at the joint board luncheon attended by the Oswego University Foundation Board, College Council, School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board, School of Communication, Media and the Arts Advisory Board, Engineering Advisory Board, and Oswego Alumni Association.
    • Presented the President’s Report at the Oswego University Foundation Board meeting.
    • Presented the President’s Report at the SUNY Oswego College Council meeting.
    • Delivered the inaugural address and was inaugurated as the eleventh President of SUNY Oswego.
    • Shared insights and remarks during the Scholars Brunch, addressing the achievements and contributions of our scholars.
    • Delivered remarks at the Return to OZ gala, highlighting Vision 4040 and other key initiatives.
    • Interviewed by SUNY Oswego NPR-affiliated national public radio, WRVO.
    • Attended the International Student Reception held in Sheldon Hall.
