External Engagement
- Introduced Bob Moritz, global chairman of PwC, during his spring address to SUNY Oswego via Zoom.
- Attended the Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence Ceremony to honor our four outstanding student recipients: Aziz Sarimsakov, Adolescence Education 7-12 Earth Science/Geology; Amanda Streeter, Biology/Chemistry; Infiniti Robinson, Sociology/Art – History; and Hugh Riley Randall, Physics/Applied Mathematics.
- Attended the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Symposium for presidents, chancellors, and cabinet members.
- Met with Robert Simmons, from Micron’s Office of Social Impact, accompanied by Assistant Vice President for Workforce Innovation and External Relations Kristi Eck.
- Attended the SUNY Comprehensive Sector Presidents’ meeting.
- Attended the SUNY Presidents’ meeting.
- Attended the Middle States Commission on Higher Education meeting for presidents, provosts, ALOs, and system representatives.
- Joined the AASCU Presidents webinar on “Navigating Tense Times on Campus.”
- Hosted an on-campus meeting with SUNY Senior Vice Chancellor for Student Success Donna Linderman and Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Deputy for Student Success Valerie Dent.
- Met with SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry President Joanie Mahoney and her team, joined by Vice President for Administration and Finance Victoria Furlong, Provost Scott Furlong, and Vice President for Enrollment Management Cory Bezek to discuss academic and operational partnerships.
- Met with SUNY Erie Community College President Adiam Tsegai and her team to discuss academic partnerships and transfer pipeline. Vice President Bezek participated in the meeting.
- Joined the Title IX Final Rule webinar presented by the SUNY Office of General Council and the Student Conduct Institute.
- Chaired the Oswego County Micron Strategy Steering Committee meeting.
- Met with Micron's Amy Henecke, which was also attended by Provost Furlong and Assistant Vice President Eck.
- Led a meeting with the Oswego County Superintendents with Vice President Bezek, Dean Spenceley, Executive Director of Career Services Jennifer Hill, Assistant Vice President Eck, Provost Furlong, Interim Vice President Crowe, and Director of Operations Coleman.
Internal Engagement
- Visited with faculty in the Philosophy department and had discussions on a range of issues in support of Vision 4040, student success and our campus mission accompanied by Dean Kristin Croyle, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- Held a meeting with incoming Student Association (SA) President Aiden Wilson and Vice President Oghenetega Adjoh.
- Toured and met with faculty in the Technology department, accompanied by Director of Operations Jamal Coleman.
- Continued to hold meetings with individual faculty, staff, and students across the university.
- Led the President’s Budget Advisory Group meeting.
- Participated in the SUNY College Council meeting and presented the President’s Report.
- Attended the Strategic Planning Town Hall led by Provost Furlong and Faculty Assembly Chair Elizabeth Schmitt.
- Participated in the Strategic Planning Steering Committee workshop facilitated by Drs. Timothy Mottet and John Jasinski, our facilitators from AASCU.
- Met with Marianna Page, the great-great-granddaughter of SUNY Oswego’s founder, Edward Austin Sheldon, and her daughter, Dawne Pafford.
- Hosted student drop-in session in the Marano Campus Center food court.
- Participated in the events marking the Eclipse Day and presented remarks at the opening event.
- Provided remarks and celebrated students' commitment to academic excellence at the Honors Convocation.
- Delivered remarks and engaged with attendees during the Building Men Visitors Day.
- Led the President’s Council meeting that convened SUNY Oswego's leaders from various departments and divisions.
- Presented update on our strategic plan at General Faculty meeting with Provost Furlong and Faculty Assembly Chair Schmitt.
- Met with Chief Technology Officer Sean Moriarty and Assistant Professor Mohammad Tajvarpour from the School of Business to discuss the state of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at SUNY Oswego.
- Provided remarks at the Asiwaju graduation ceremony.
- Attended the Graduate Studies celebration.
- Attended the UUP Labor Management meeting.
