External Engagement
Participated in SUNY Broome Community College’s inauguration of its eighth president, Tony Hawkins.
Visited Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) campus in Indiana, Pennsylvania for a preliminary visit, serving as team chair for the university’s upcoming Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation review.
Attended the Presidential Alumni event in Long Island, New York, accompanied by Vice President for University Advancement Mary Canale.
Held meeting with County Administrator Phil Church, accompanied by Dean of Graduate Studies Kristen Eichorn, Assistant Vice President for Workforce Innovation and External Relations Kristi Eck, and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Scott Furlong.
Held meeting with College Council member Brian McGrath in New York City.
Attended Zoom meeting led by Program Director Stacey Winter of the Jewish Foundation for Education of Women, SUNY Senior Vice Chancellor for Student Success Donna Linderman, and SUNY Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Success and Transformational Initiatives Casey O’Brien, joined by Vice President for Enrollment Management Cory Bezek, and the director of SUNY Oswego’s Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) Program, Jordan Pritchard.
Attended the SUNY Presidents’ meeting in Albany, New York.
Attended the Oswego Health Foundation Gala, joined by Director of Operations, Office of the President Jamal Coleman.
Chaired the Oswego County Micron Strategy Steering Committee meeting.
Provided remarks at the SUNY Oswego Alumni Election Panel event in Washington, D.C.
Held meeting with Ahmeed Turner, vice president of scholarships and student success and executive director of the Say Yes Syracuse program, joined by Vice President Bezek and Director of Operations Coleman.
Attended the Comprehensive President’s Sector meeting via Zoom.
Internal Engagement
Led the President’s Council meeting that convened SUNY Oswego's leaders from various departments and divisions.
Held the President’s Cabinet leadership retreat, facilitated by Dr. Timothy Mottet and Dr. John Jasinski, our facilitators from the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).
Met with College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) department chairs joined by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Scott Furlong.
Held the President’s Council leadership retreat facilitated by Khadish O. Franklin from EAB.
Hosted faculty and staff drop-in sessions in the Chu Atrium.
Hosted student drop-in session in the Marano Campus Center food court.
Chaired University Budget Advisory Group meeting at the Marano Campus Center.
Continued to hold meetings with individual faculty, staff, and students across the university.
Presented the President’s Report at the General Faculty Meeting.
Met with Student Association President Aiden Wilson and Vice President Oghenetega Adjoh, along with Vice President for Student Affairs Kathleen Kerr.
Presented at the Student Association Senate meeting, along with Vice President for Administration and Finance Vicki Furlong.
Met with faculty in the psychology department, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Kristin Croyle, and Director of Operations Coleman.
Led the President's Facilities Planning Group meeting.
Met with the Black Student Union executive board, joined by their faculty advisor Dr. Kenneth Marshall, along with Vice President Kerr, Director of Operations Coleman, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Gabriel Marshall, and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Kendra Cadogan.
Attended the inaugural meeting of the President’s Student Advisory Board for Inclusive Excellence and provided the charge to the board.
Delivered remarks at the ACE press conference.
Attended the Caribbean Student Association’s 25th anniversary dinner, along with Director of Operations Coleman.
Attended the Latino Student Union 47th annual dinner, along with Director of Operations Coleman.
Delivered opening remarks for the Supervisor Workshop for department chairs, as part of the President’s Professional Development series. The workshop was facilitated by SUNY Assistant Counsel for Litigation and Labor Nihla Sikkander and SUNY Senior Counsel Peter Harrington.
Attended the Penfield and Lanigan Program Study meeting and delivered the charge.
Held a Faculty Assembly leadership meeting with Faculty Assembly Chair Gwen Kay and Provost Furlong.
