External Engagement

  • Chaired meetings and coordinated assignments related to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) re-accreditation team for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) site visit. This work included an official site visit to IUP with the team.
  • Attended the SUNY Presidents’ meeting in Albany, NY.
  • Chaired the Committee on Student Success for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) meeting via Zoom.
  • Attended the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP) special Board meeting via Zoom.
  • Chaired the Oswego County Micron Strategy Steering Committee meeting via Zoom to continue discussion on our county’s role in Micron’s historic investment in Central New York.
  • Attended the inauguration of Dr. Mary Bonderoff as the 11th President of SUNY Delhi, accompanied by Jamal Coleman, director of operations for the Office of the President.
  • Co-facilitated several SUNY-Africa Initiative meetings with SUNY Poly President Winston Soboyejo, Associate Provost for International Education Joshua McKeown, SUNY Fredonia President Stephen Kolison and Paleoanthropologist and Assistant Professor of Anthropology Patricia Princehouse.
  • Attended AASCU on the Hill in Washington, DC, and held meetings with New York Senator and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and his staff, Congressman John Mannion, and Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. I was joined by Assistant Vice President for Workforce Innovation and External Relations Kristi Eck and Director of Operations Coleman.
  • Attended the Operation Oswego County (OOC) Board of Directors meeting via Zoom.
  • Attended the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council (CNYREDC) meeting in Fulton, NY.
  • Joined a Zoom meeting with Chancellor John B. King, during which he provided an update on federal developments related to higher education.
  • Provided remarks at the Campus-City Relations Committee Photojournalism event at Oswego City Hall.
  • Attended Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) meeting with presidents, provosts, accreditation liaison officers, and system representatives via Zoom.

Internal Engagement

  • Led the President's Facilities Planning Group meeting.
  • Led the President’s Council meeting that convened SUNY Oswego's leaders from various departments and divisions.
  • Presented the President’s Report at the University Council meeting.
  • Presented the President’s Report at the General Faculty meeting.
  • Chaired the University Budget Advisory Group meeting.
  • Participated in the two-day meeting of the University Foundation Board held in New York City.
  • Provided remarks at the annual Faculty and Staff of Color Dinner.
  • Continued to hold meetings with individual faculty, staff, and students across the university.
  • Hosted faculty and student drop-in sessions.
  • Attended the University Police swearing-in ceremony, led by Chief of Police Scott Swayze.
  • Attended the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) graduate student research showcase.
  • Attended the Inaugural TEDx SUNY Oswego event.
  • Served as a co-panelist alongside President Warren Hilton of Onondaga Community College at the CSTEP Regional Conference held on our campus.
  • Held Faculty Assembly leadership meetings with Faculty Assembly Chair Gwen Kay and Provost Scott Furlong.
  • Met with Student Association President Aiden Wilson and Vice President Oghenetega Adjoh, along with Vice President for Student Affairs Kathleen Kerr.
  • Attended the Quest Poster session at our Syracuse campus, accompanied by Director of Operations Coleman.
  • Delivered remarks at the Display to Archive breakfast hosted by Penfield Library.
  • Delivered remarks and celebrated students' commitment to academic excellence at the Honors Convocation.
  • Met with faculty in the history department, accompanied by Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Kristin Croyle, and Director of Operations Coleman.
  • Attended ARTSwego’s Immersive Elements Installation event.
  • Hosted several leaders of the Student Association for dinner at Shady Shore, joined by Vice President Kerr, Assistant Vice President and Executive Director for Auxiliary Services Stephen McAfee, and Director of Operations Coleman.
