Chaired meetings and coordinated assignments related to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) re-accreditation team for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) site visit. As Team chair, traveled to India to visit IUP’s international location in Bangalore.
Held a Zoom meeting to provide an update on the SUNY-Africa Initiative with SUNY Poly President Soboyejo to SUNY Chancellor John B. King, Jr., SUNY Provost Ram Ramasubramanian, and SUNY Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Julie Hartley-Moore. Prior to this meeting, co-facilitated several SUNY-Africa Initiative meetings with SUNY Poly President Winston Soboyejo via Zoom. SUNY Oswego participants included Vice President for Marketing and Communications Karen Crowe, Associate Provost for International Education Joshua McKeown, Director of Institutional Research and Assessment Deborah Furlong, Director of Operations, Office of the President Jamal Coleman and Paleoanthropologist and Assistant Professor of Anthropology Patricia Princehouse. Attending from SUNY Poly were Chief of Staff and Vice President for External Relations Wayne Westervelt, Director for University Marketing and Communications Sara Furlong, Executive Assistant to the President Daniel Sargent, Associate Professor of Mathematics William Thistleton, International Admissions Counselor Williavian Dawson and Director of International Student Services Kevyn Piascik.
Participated in a zoom meeting with SUNY Poly President Dr. Wole Soboyejo and Kenya’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Erastus Ekitele Lokaale.

Selected to chair the Committee on Student Success of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) and held an initial planning meeting with Dr. Jacquelyn Jones, AASCU’s Associate Vice President for Student Success via Zoom.

Attended the American Council on Education (ACE) conference in Washington, DC, and participated in a convening of ACE Presidents on the Hill with Republican and Democrat Congressional Staff.

Held legislative advocacy meetings via Zoom on SUNY budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 with Assemblymember William Magnarelli, Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay, staff from Assemblymember Pamela Hunter’s office, Assemblymember Al Stirpe, staff from Senator Rachel May’s office and Senator Chris Ryan. The meetings were attended by Assistant Vice President for Workforce Innovation and External Relations Kristi Eck, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Scott Furlong, Director of Operations Coleman, Vice President for Enrollment Management Cory Bezek, Associate Vice President for Facilities Services Mitch Fields and Vice President for Administration and Finance Victoria Furlong.

Appointed to the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council (CNYREDC) by NYS Governor Kathy Hochul, and attended CNYREDC New Member meeting via Zoom.
Delivered the opening remarks at SUNY Oswego’s Syracuse campus for the announcement of Governor Hochul’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative and NY Forward Program winners. New York Secretary of State Walter T. Mosley announced the three Central New York villages receiving $19 million in state funding for downtown revitalization: Chittenango, Marathon, and Pulaski. Also in attendance were the mayors of these villages, Fulton Mayor, and CNYREDC co-chair and president of the CNY Manufacturers Association, Randy Wolken.
Participated in a Zoom meeting with Chancellor King to discuss updates on campus climate and federal policy.
Joined a Zoom meeting for private and public colleges and universities, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who provided an update on DEIA, NIH funding, immigration, gender-affirming care, travel bans and other related issues.
