The Office of Workforce Innovation and External Relations

SUNY Oswego actively enriches the region through community programs, partnerships, and cultural events that foster engagement and opportunity. The Office of Workforce Innovation and External Relations (OWIER) serves as SUNY Oswego’s gateway for industry, nonprofit, public, private and community partners. Our collaborative efforts support SUNY Oswego's mission while promoting regional economic and social growth.

Any person may visit Penfield Library during regular library hours to use materials, databases and resources while on site.

The fully digital Shineman Planetarium is used in teaching and educational outreach, offering a wide variety of shows to the community.

Rice Creek Field Station supports academic instruction, research and public service in environmental education.

Youth Camps

Our summer youth programs for children entering grades K-9 include Exploring Nature at Rice Creek, Sheldon Institute and STEAM camp.

Campus Recreation Memberships & Day Passes

Campus affiliates can purchase recreation memberships or day passes through our online portal. All memberships (except day passes) include free entry for dependents under 17. Dependents must be signed in at the front desk and accompanied by an adult. Day pass users pay $5 extra for each dependent over age 5. Memberships or passes are available for the following groups:

  • Spouse/partner of SUNY Oswego employee or student
  • Dependent of SUNY Oswego employee or student
  • Retired employee (plus spouse/partner/dependent)
  • Alumni and their spouse/partner/dependents

Campus Parking

The Parking Services Office aims to keep college community members and guests safe and make traffic flow smoothly on campus. Our parking program follows the New York State Motor Vehicle and Traffic Law, which applies fully on campus. All vehicles parked on campus must have a valid parking permit. Permits may be obtained online via the Parking Portal.
