Jenna Rutowski is Assistant Professor of Practice in Audio Recording & Production at SUNY Oswego. She brings extensive professional experience to her teaching, serving as an Audio Engineer for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra since 2020, where she has engineered numerous orchestral, choral, and chamber recording sessions for labels such as Naxos Records and Beau Fleuve Records.
She continues her work as an Audio Engineer at GCR Audio, collaborating with local and national artists across diverse genres, and performs as a studio musician on classical piano and jazz guitar. As an active researcher, Rutowski conducts work in signal processing, room acoustics, human-computer interaction, and smart audio design.
Her research has resulted in peer-reviewed publications and presentations at major conferences including the Audio Engineering Society and Acoustical Society of America. She has worked on GRAMMY and Emmy nominated recordings and is passionate about education and outreach, having presented at numerous programs designed to inspire young people in STEM careers, particularly focusing on encouraging girls to pursue audio engineering.
