Osnabrück
Osnabrück is a medium-sized city of about 160,000 people. It is located in the state of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony), in the northwest of Germany. There are more than 20,000 students at the university and the university of applied sciences. Oswego students can take courses in English and German in a wide variety of subjects.
By taking at least one course in German, Oswego students are automatically eligible for a Modern Languages and Literatures GETGO Grant.
Kempten
With about 70,000 people, Kempten is the largest town of the beautiful Allgäu region. It is located in the state of Bayern (Bavaria), in the south of Germany. Approximately 5,000 students are enrolled at the university of applied sciences. Oswego students can take courses in English and German in a wide variety of subjects.
By taking at least one course in German, Oswego students are automatically eligible for a Modern Languages and Literatures GETGO Grant.
Summer Program in Kempten
Oswego offers a faculty-led summer program in Kempten. From mid-May to mid-June, students live in apartments, study in German and/or English, and take excursions to nearby locations such as Castle Neuschwanstein, Lake Constance, Munich, and Innsbruck.
By taking at least one course in German, Oswego students are automatically eligible for a Modern Languages and Literatures GETGO Grant.

Graduate Study in Germany
Many German MA and PhD programs are taught completely in English. The DAAD maintains a searchable database of programs. Tuition for German universities is generally 100-300 Euros per semester and almost always includes a semester pass for local public transportation.
