Off-Campus Housing

The Office of ISSS is unable to provide recommendations regarding off-campus housing. The university offers plenty of on-campus housing options to accommodate undergraduate and graduate students alike. 

For undergraduate students considering living off-campus, please note that many scholarships are contingent upon your residing in one of SUNY Oswego’s residence halls during the academic year. Graduate students are welcome to live on-campus and are typically placed in the Village Townhouses. Please consult the resources listed below for information when searching for off-campus housing options.

Finding Housing Options

  • Connect with current students. Learn about their experiences, popular neighborhoods, reputable apartment complexes, and landlords to avoid. 
  • Some popular websites for searching for apartment rentals in the United States are elaborated in this Apartment Therapy article. Use good judgement when searching these websites, as most property listings are not vetted. Refer to the resources in the section below to avoid scams.

  • If you are experiencing issues with your off-campus housing property or landlord, SUNY Oswego’s Student Assembly Legal Aid is available during the academic year via phone at 315-312-3601.
