Each year, SUNY Oswego nominates up to five exemplary individuals to the SUNY Board of Trustees for consideration of receiving a SUNY honorary doctorate degree. The joint Honorary Degree and Commencement Speaker Nomination Committee has members selected for the 2024-2025 academic year to serve a one-year term on the committee. The committee is charged with gathering from the campus community suggestions of individuals to share with the President's Council for consideration of nomination.
