Survey Schedule & Descriptions

Surveys Administered 2025-26

Spring 2026

Sustainability Survey

The Office of Sustainability periodically conducts surveys of students, faculty and staff to gauge and enhance awareness, programming, and operations related to sustainability on our campus. The student surveys are also designed to track student understanding of sustainability concepts. The surveys meet the specifications of the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) framework by incorporating questions about Culture, Literacy, and Transportation.

Spring 2026

Health Center User/Non-User Survey

Health Services will launch a campus wide survey for students February 2026 to identify gaps in services and identify public health concerns in the campus community for users and non-users of Health Services.

Spring 2026

National Survey of Student Engagement

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) provides us with an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. In March 2026, first-year students and seniors will be sent email invitations to participate.  The first 250 first-year students and first 250 seniors who submit the survey will have $20 credited to their SUNY Oswego bookstore accounts. Check the NSSE notification at the top of the Institutional Research home page to check whether incentive dollars have been exhausted.

Spring 2026

SUNY Student Satisfaction Survey

SUNY will administer the Student Satisfaction Survey to assess undergraduate students’ perceptions of academic programs, services, and campus facilities.  SUNY Oswego will use the results to identify institutional strengths as well as areas that may warrant further review or improvement.

Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The purpose of student learning outcome assessment is to empower faculty and students to enhance the quality of learning and promote success. Assessing measurable outcomes of student learning by collecting and interpreting data provides the basis for action to determine effective steps for improvement and implementation of best practices.
